South Florida's climate is one of the best solar resources in the United States — and Qrown Design Build helps you capitalize on it. As a licensed Solar Contractor, we design, permit, install, and commission residential and commercial solar photovoltaic systems with a focus on long-term performance and maximum return on your investment.
Because we're also a licensed General Contractor and Roofing Contractor, we offer something most solar companies can't: we can assess and address your roof's condition before any panels go up. No separate roofer. No coordination headache. One firm handles the entire scope.
Evaluate roof condition, orientation, shading, and electrical infrastructure.
Custom PV system sized for your actual energy needs and goals.
Submit all permits and utility interconnection applications.
Professional panel mounting, inverter setup, and electrical connections.
System activation, monitoring setup, and production verification.
From signed contract to Permission to Operate, most residential installations take 60–120 days. Permitting and utility interconnection approval are the primary variables — the physical installation typically takes 1–3 days.
Florida currently offers a sales tax exemption on solar equipment and a property tax exemption for the added value solar adds to your home. The federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC) provides a significant credit against your tax liability — consult your tax advisor for current rates and your personal eligibility.
We'll identify that during our assessment and include roof repairs or replacement as part of the project scope. There's no reason to install solar on a roof that's going to need replacement in a few years.
Systems are installed to meet Florida's strict wind load requirements. However, we recommend discussing battery backup options if power reliability during outages is a priority — grid-tied systems without storage will not produce power when the grid is down.
